Paris Hilton's new movie, The Hottie and the Nottie, hit the box office last weekend, and unsurprisingly to all, barely pulled in $25,000 in sales. The movie aired in 111 theaters and proved (hopefully for the last time) that Paris should stick to shopping, partying, and not partying and driving at the same time.
So speaking of shopping, this is one thing that we all must admit Paris has going on. So perhaps she should stick to being the small dog-toting style icon that she somehow turned into. Either that or she could branch out into real estate like fellow blonde bombshell Ivanka Trump...or not.
So on to duplicating Paris's style. You may have seen her strutting around Los Angeles wearing a very chic pair of marquise-shaped, silver earrings. These French wire earrings have a scroll and flower design, and are the perfect addition to everyones accessory bin! In case you have been dying to snap up this particular pair, they are referred to as the Lilith Earrings. Paris loves them so much she has been seen sporting them on multiple occasions, and has even been caught on film in Scoop, In Touch, and OK! Magazine.
Similar to most sterling silver earrings, the best part about these simple, yet stunning earrings, is that they can be worn with practically any ensemble! Paris wore the pair with a simple baseball-style t-shirt and over-sized shades. However, these earrings are so versatile they can be worn with everything from a work suit to a prom dress!
These particular earrings are actually made of pewter and coated with sterling silver for extra shine, which seems to be an upcoming jewelry trend. Pewter tends to be a relatively inexpensive metal, and whenever a metal is coated with a precious metal plating -- such as sterling silver or 18K gold, it is much cheaper to produce, rather than the entire piece of jewelry being made of that metal. This can either be a good thing or a bad thing in the eyes of the consumer. You can either appreciate this jewelry for the fact that it is generally 1/2 the cost of solid sterling silver jewelry, or you can berate it for not actually being "the real deal." It's all a matter of preference.
If you are hip-to this new metal-plated jewelry, you will enjoy the exact pair Paris wears, for less than $30. Finally, you too can accessorize like an heiress! If you are so-not-into this fake metal thing, you can go on the hunt to find a healthy sterling silver alternative at your local jeweler. But good luck, because this earrings' unique design might be hard to find.
