You can try the following recipes to retain the moisture in your hair and make them soft and silky to touch:
Take a little coconut oil or olive oil in a bowl and heat it mildly. Take a small cotton ball and dip it in the oil. With this cotton ball gently apply oil on the entire scalp. Now gently massage the scalp for at least a half hour. Stress causes our muscles to get tense. This massage helps in relieving the stress and relaxing the muscles. After the massage, take a small tub of hot water and a small towel to fit your scalp. Then dip the towel in the hot water, squeeze the excess water out and then apply the hot towel on the head and leave it for a while. Repeat the same a few times. The steam opens the pores of your scalp and further helps the oil to nourish the roots. After the entire procedure, you can wash as usual with a mild shampoo.
Mix a teaspoon of honey with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Beat in an egg yolk. Massage on hair in small sections. Wrap the hair with a shower cap for 30 minutes. Rinse and shampoo. This is a great treatment for adding moisture to the hair and keeping split ends away.
Massaging fresh avocado on shampooed hair and keeping it for 15 minutes and then rinsing helps in retaining moisture of the hair.
Mix one spoon of vinegar to water and rinse hair. It makes the hair shiny.
Massage your scalp with almond oil. Use your finger tips to gently massage the scalp. This improves blood circulation.
